Anatolian Eagle - Konya Airbase, Turkey
2011 can be considered as the year the Turkish Air Force exposed itself to the general public, with many events scheduled throughout the year to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Besides this centennial, the Türk Hava Kuvvetleri (THK) also celebrated its first decade of prestigious joint fighter training at Konya air base under the name of Anatolian Eagle. Frank Noort and Melchior Timmers witnessed two days of flying at Konya.
